NEWS: Construction Quality Australia joins forces with the Australian Steel Institute to reduce complexity

Construction Quality Australia and the Australian Steel Institute commit to working collaboratively to improve quality outcomes, strengthen industry confidence and simplify structural steelwork compliance processes for the benefit of the Australian construction industry and the communities it serves.

Last week, Construction Quality Australia (CQA) and the Australian Steel Institute (ASI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a collaborative framework between to foster cooperation, mutual recognition, and industry leadership in the field of structural steelwork quality and compliance.

CQA and ASI acknowledge a shared commitment to improving the effectiveness, consistency and understanding of structural steelwork compliance requirements throughout the Australian construction industry.

Working together, this will reduce unnecessary complexity, eliminate duplication of effort and promote practical, risk-based approaches to achieving compliance with applicable standards, specifications and regulatory requirements.
